We're beta testing brand new,Ā eco-friendly mealĀ containers that integrate seamlessly with our modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) machines. This exciting development uses 90% less plastic than conventional packaging materials, marking a significant stride in our sustainability journey.
This new meal packagingĀ isn't just about minimizing plastic use; they also provide a convenient solution for our customers who are environmentally conscious. Once used, these bases can be composted, turning waste into nutrient-rich soil, thereby reducing landfill waste and promoting a circular economy.
Perhaps the most exciting aspect of this venture is that we would be the first meal prep company to bring these planet-friendly containersĀ that work with MAP to market. MAP is a technology that alters the atmosphere within the packaging to extend the shelf-life of fresh food products. This means our customers will continue to enjoy the same long-lasting freshness in their meals, but now with much-reduced environmental impact.
While the beta testing is currently underway at our Eau Claire location, we are optimistic about rolling out theseĀ improved mealĀ containers across all our locations. This significant initiative aligns perfectly with our core values of having high standards and leading by example.
